The Ningaloo Reef – Lighthouse Bay
At the very northern tip of the peninsular, the coastline forms a bay above the
lighthouse. This whole area is a sanctuary zone, which means there is no fishing, spear fishing or anchoring to protect the corals, making it one of our favourite places on the Ningaloo Reef to dive. Underwater in the bay are rocky outcrops, coral ledges and deep cracks in the ground forming interesting landscapes. Visibility at this location ranges from 5-20m depending on weather conditions.
Sites such as Blizzard Ridge, Labyrinth, and Gullivers have become firm favourites with divers for seeing weird and wonderful creatures. Large schools of fish, sea snakes, turtles and reef sharks are a common sight.
About the tour:
On this tour, you will dive two different sites within Lighthouse Bay. You never know what you might see! This is a great location for underwater photography, so be sure to bring your camera if you have one! The depth range of these sites is 12-14m.
Between dives we enjoy an onboard BBQ lunch before jumping on for our second dive. Included in this tour is all dive equipment, dive guides, lunch, snacks and drinks.
This tour is suitable for all dive certification levels. We can also facilitate ‘Discover Scuba Diving’ for new and uncertified divers.
