The Team

Big isn’t always better!!

Dive Ningaloo is a locally owned and operated business that has evolved from a lifetime of diving, snorkeling, boating, marine biology, conservation, and almost anything to do with the ocean really!

Dive Ningaloo prides itself in being a small, flexible dive school run by dive professionals with a real passion for what we do (we even dive on our days off!). We have been diving on the Ningaloo for over 20 years, and have more local experience and expertise than anyone else, to share with you.
Owners Kirsten and David have long recognised and enjoyed the beauty and uniqueness of the Ningaloo reef and, surprised by the lack of diving options for visitors to the Ningaloo, have established Dive Ningaloo. DN specialises in small groups, personal service, and of course adventure diving, in the best, remote and beautiful places. We aim to give visitors the best experience of the Ningaloo reef, instead of diving in the same few dive spots, we travel to remote islands and explore untouched reef… The ultimate diving experience.

Meet The Team!

Kirsten, aka ‘Shep’, was a qualified forensic psychologist before she realised where her true passion lay. She has a serious love of the ocean, and has been diving for 20 years around the world. In the water Kirsten always feels at home and has a great eye for spotting even the smallest, weirdest marine life. She has been instructing scuba diving for many years, is patient, makes learning fun, and loves to pass on her passion for the underwater world to others.

Originally from the UK, Kat instantly fell in love with Exmouth and decided to make it home! Kat is a very experienced dive instructor, tech diver, and service technician so you are in good hands with her. She has a super easy-going attitude and great eye for spotting marine life. Kat teaches most of our courses so if you are learning to dive, or furthering your education you will learn a lot from her.

Dave has lived and skippered in the Ningaloo for over 25 years. He is incredibly experienced and knowledgeable both on the water and in marine tourism.
A love for photography has taken him around the world, but he found that the Ningaloo has it all. Wide angle photography as there is plenty of big stuff and a macro photography paradise on the reef. Always looking for that perfect shot, Dave can take you to some of the best spots on the Ningaloo to get your own!

Skipper / Engineer

Cheryl, aka ‘Mum’. Is one of our longest running dive masters with Dive Ningaloo and mum of two (and sometimes the whole DN team!).
She will make sure you are well looked after during your tour, and have plenty of laughs at the same time. Cheryl is very attentive and caring and will go above and beyond to make sure you enjoy your time with us.

Cheryl Mollross

Dive Master / Tour Leader
anne

Anne is a research fellow and has extensive knowledge in marine conservation and research. She is a passionate conservationist and marine science teacher. Her skills to advise on how to avoid potentially harmful intensive diving on marine habitats allows Dive Ningaloo to use strategies to continue ‘sustainable’ diving practices.

Environmental Officer/ Trustee
lou

Lou will most likely be the person you speak to when you contact us. She is very friendly and easy going and will greet you with a smile when you arrive! Lou is an Exmouth local and has been working in tourism for several years, so knows everything about this awesome town. Feel free to pop into our dive shop for a chat as she can also give you information on the area. On her days off you will find her out at the surfers beach catching some waves or camping in the national park!
