Dive Ningaloo offer half day snorkelling tours on their fast stable Naiad RIB. This tour is only for small groups of 3 – 6 passengers.
As a bonus to snorkelling the reef, you also get to experience it with your own seadoo scooter! Using your underwater scooter, you will be propelled effortlessly through the water as you visit shallow snorkel sites you can’t reach from shore and enjoy seeing large coral bommies, and often lots of turtles at our special ‘turtle reef’!
Usually running from 9am to 1pm, you will be picked up from your accommodation.
Before snorkelling your guide will run though your equipment, how to use the scooter (incredibly easy to use!), and if you have never snorkelled before; how to move through the water with your snorkel gear. Snorkelling the reef with your own scooter you will not be disappointed – the Ningaloo is famous for it’s beautiful, healthy coral reefs and abundance of fish, turtles, and other marine life.
The scooters are a snorkelling aid- they help you control buoyancy, save energy as you do not need to kick, and therefore allow you to snorkel for longer, and feel more comfortable in the water. They are also a lot of fun!
Please note you must be able to swim to join this tour. You will not be able to touch the bottom. We can provide floatation noodles but we still require you to be a confident swimmer in the ocean.
